LETTER TO MY SISTER: BY V. A.

Dearest sister🫂

Firstly, I want to say I'm proud of you. Funny enough, this was written on June 21, 202, around 1:03am. I decided to write this letter before you go abroad. Hopefully, it goes as planned. You are strong and brave. You have experienced both losses and gains. You didn't relent when it was hard. You are like a mom to me. The impact of losing our mom at such a young age must have taking a toll on you, considering you were the closest to her. You grew so fast. I was a kid, I didn't even remember her.

So I want you to know that I'll always be there for you whether you're at home or overseas. Thank you for being there and never losing hope.

You're strong but you don't have to be strong all the time. You're human too.

"You've been raised, so don't let anybody raise you. You know the difference between right and wrong. Do right. And remember you can always come home"

          By Maya Angelou

You have so many things on your plate but it'll get better. You'll rise. Do not change who you are. Continue to be who and how you are, astonish the world with your act of  kindness. Do not lose yourself. No matter the struggles you face, the joy you see, the success or failure that happens to you, do not lose yourself. Some experiences with people or other things might shape you, but let there be a you that can be you. Take control. The responsibility of tomorrow is in your hands. Do not lose guard.

"Listen to yourself and in that quietude, you might hear the voice of God"

" You might write me down in history,

With your bitter twisted lies

You may trod me in the very dirt,

But still, like air, I'll rise."
